Shifts: Night shift only (graveyard shift)
Eligibility & Requirements below:
- The Requirement for the position was At least 2 years of experience in consumer technical support with an emphasis on gaming and graphics.
- You must have the knowledge to understand and to speak good fluent English, because you will handle US Clients.
- You had an edge if you had a certification from some training institute like Jetking.
- You must have an experience only from Hardware support background. It’s easier for NVidia to hire a person having an experience from companies like DELL, Concentix, and HP because these companies are leaders in hardware support companies.
- Have excellent knowledge about desktop completely.( The candidate should know every bit of desktop instruments, and problem solving)
The job was on the payroll of a 3rd party, It’s a startup and a very good client of NVidia they handle the hiring process for the company. The office of 3rd party is different, they work in a shared office premises. The company is successfully handling all the MNC projects, and so though there is trust worthy. In case if you’re not able to clear your interview here the 3rd party can place you in other company as they are having good contacts in many other companies too.

The office services provided to employees were:
- Free cab service (drop/pickup)
- Free food
The Interview process as to start such mentioned below:
- First level screening and/or interview by 3rd party (Client of NVidia)
- Second level screening – 2 rounds – 1 Tech interview by client and 1 regular interview with hiring manager
So, basically there will be 4 rounds over all:
- Telephonic
- Technical
- HR Round
- Managerial
Telephonic Round:
The employee from 3rd party will be giving the call for the clarification of your profile and he will be asking 2 questions related to desktop Eg:
- What is an active directory?
- If the laptop gets heated up, what could be the troubleshooting options. Do you need to replace the fan?
- Pretend I am a manager then how to explain DNS to me.
- Tell me about windows profile and when would you delete one and what’s get deleted?
- What is BIOS and explain about its functions?
- If customer complains you my system is working slow then what will you check?
- Why we use graphics card and how to upgrade ?
Once the employee of 3rd party finds you relevant for the profile he will be scheduling your interview for NVidia.
Technical:
This round will be taken to check your ability for the position and check your knowledge about desktop & Hardware. It would be taken around 20 minutes per candidate. Eg:
- Why do we use DHCP?
- How can we make our own hard disk dynamic?
- What are some common sources of computer viruses and how can you prevent being infected?
- Windows cannot currently check for updates; what could be the possible reasons?
- What is the blue screen of death?
- Tell me if your system affected by virus how you will recover data
- Suppose you are a Desktop Support Technician. A user calls and complains ,That till yesterday he was able to view his CD drive in his computer. But today when he turned on his computer, he is not able to view the CD-ROM drive in “My Computer”. What can be done to fix this problem?
- Suppose you have not graphics card in your laptop then how you will add graphics card to laptop.
- What is VPN and how it works. explain?
- How can we increase RAM size??
HR Round:
The HR Executive will be asking your personal hobbies and questions related to education, family just to check your vocal and communication skills because the designation will be to handle US clients and solve there desktop issues.
Managerial Round:
After clearing your 1st three rounds successfully the last round would not be such tough. They may just ask how comfortable you are with night shifts and salary. They will check if you have any health issues. They will ask questions related to contract and other such things to finally hire you without any issues.
Note that the interview will be conducted in the late evening or night. So, if you are already doing night shift, you can attend the interview at 8:00 p.m. and the log in to your company at 10:00.
