Usually, it’s not very common to see the merger of two banks. On the 1st of April 2015, ING Vysya Bank merged with Kotak Mahindra Bank. Post this historic merger, The IT team had been working diligently towards integrating the two banking systems, with a focus on improving services to their valued customers. The customers are delighted about the merger as this promises more power to them, because with this integration, all branches branded “ING Vysya now Kotak” will become full-fledged Kotak branches, offering access to transact and avail all services through any of the 1330+ branches.
In the age of internet banking and app, the merger is a huge task as lot of customers would be impacted. The major task is to merge the Enterprise system (like SAP) of the 2 banks and then make a detailed cutover plan. As money is involved so a simple error could be disastrous. The ING VYSYA bank customers have received the message that the following basic details would NOT change.
1) Account Number
2) CRN Number (Customer Identification Number) : Note that the CIF (Customer Identification Number ) will now be rechristened to CRN
CRN will be used to accessing Net, Mobile or Phone Banking.
Login process:
Open the following link
