They are defined as our counterparts, our competitors. We are found to be in a race with the male persons of our society. But at the same time; they act as our guide, our mentor, our best friend and sometimes our best supporting partner. So, let`s thank all the men out there, who use to play an indispensable part in our life!
It`s you “Papa”, who knows which school is best for your daughter. It`s you, who didn’t want to wake us by any sound when leaving home early morning for the office. It`s you, who dropped us at school leaving your meeting when we missed our school bus. When we wanted to cry, we can do it in your arms.
It would not be wrong to say that every girl looks for a man who has similar positive characteristics of her father. Every girl is her father`s princess and that`s why we sing the song “papa ki pari hoon mein….”. By loving and trusting in us, you taught us the skills to have a happy and successful life. Thanks to all the fathers who brought up their little girls so nicely that today the world loves us.
Father leaves us at the school gate. But, it`s brother, who walk with us inside the school. Come to look at us in the class, after fixed time interval. Brothers are the best playing partners too. They know well how to cheat in games because they cannot win from us.
How can we forget our fights over little things but at the same time, fighting with others, for your sister. He is the one who can break his friendship with his best friend if he has an eye on his sister. When we walked into a whole new city to build our future, it was one and only you, who were with us. Putting restrictions on us was your favourite job, but we know how to handle you. We don`t want to say it in words, but we thank you from inside for all your deeds and support.
Mother`s brother is our summer holiday`s favourite uncle. Father`s brother is our all-time most favourite uncle. Either we go to a new city or a new country. There must be an uncle who acts as our local guardian over there. At the time of festivals, when we cannot meet our parents. We happily visit our uncle`s place because they make us feel at home.
It`s you who convinced our father when we wanted to go for a different career option. It`s you who never forgets to bring us chocolates no matter how old we grow. It`s you who pays for our school picnics happily. It`s you who cried more than our father, at the time we were leaving for a new home. How much we thank you, would be less.
It’s time to thank the friendly guy who sits next to your cubile and solves all your minor technical issues. Thank the guy next door in a new city.Remember, how much he helped you in the entire relocation. Neighbours are always helpful. If we get a kind and helpful neighbour, it`s like a cherry on the cake. We have to pay our electric bills; need a plumber immediately; call the local cable operator – neighbourhood guys are always there to help with a smile. So, on this special day, how can we forget to thank all these special persons of our life. Your role in our life might be small but it`s unforgettable.
Missed the classes, now needs the notes. It`s you, who make it available. Amidst exams, need to match the answers. It`s you, who make us copy your answers. Feeling hungry at midnight inside the hostel premises. It`s you, who brought the parathas jumping the college fences. No matter wherever we go, memories are always with us and so as a “Thanking note” thanking all you friendly guys sitting out there.
Sometimes like a caring second mother, sometimes an arguing sister and most of the times, a best friend. Words cannot express our deepest gratitude towards our husbands. It`s like a second birth which we take in your arms and you make our life more beautiful.
It`s you who make it easier for us, to get adjust to a whole new world with new creatures around. It`s you, who supported us with your decisions when we need to balance between work and family life. It`s you, who is traveling with us, in this journey called “life”. Crossing all the hurdles, moving all the obstacles and making each day a happier one. So, a big “Thanks” to all the better halves and best of luck for those who are going to join them.
